Drinking at least two 8-ounce glasses of water before breakfast, lunch, and dinner will help you lose weight and keep it off for a year.

- First, you need to know your current body weight.

The needed daily amount of water for your body depends on your weight, so you must exactly know it.

- Divide your weight by 1/2 to find out how much water you should drink on a daily basis. For instance, if you weigh 170 pounds: 1/2 = 85 ounces.

This means that a person who weighs 170 pounds should drink 85 ounces of water every day.

- Activity level. The level of activity greatly influences the amount of water as well, as physical activities lead to sweating, which eliminates the water, and you need to compensate for the lost water.

Keep in mind that you should add approximately 15 ounces of water for every half an hour of exercise.

Also, drink a glass of water as soon as you wake up in the morning, and before going to bed, and in this way, you will drink another 32 ounces, and the rest of water needed should be divided throughout the day.
