How To Easily Remove The Ring Stuck On Your Finger

Many of us have often wear rings. Whether it's an engagement ring, a wedding ring or simply a friendship ring, we sometimes forgot about it which leads to misfortunes of having a ring stuck on our fingers.

It can be painful and difficult to remove. Worst, it can cause swelling. When the joints and/or tissue swells, it prevents you from removing the ring.

Swelling maybe due to the higher amount of salt in our body that we consumed the day before, or simply because of the weight gain over time.

If this happens to you, do not panic! For every problem, there is a solution. When you can’t simply slide your ring off, try these steps for safely removing a ring:

1. Squirt lubricant such as soap or oil on your finger.

2. Elevate the hand overhead for 5-10 minutes with ice around the ring and finger.

3. Use dental floss or a thread to compress the swollen finger.

4. Slip the thread or floss under the stuck ring with the bulk of it toward the fingertip.

5. Beginning at the top of the ring, snuggly wrap the finger with the thread/floss around and around, compressing the finger, all the way up and over the knuckle.

6. With the end that was under the ring, begin to unwrap the thread or floss with the ring sliding over the knuckle as you go.
